For me painting my house also means getting rid of the clutter. I know that sounds weird, but think of your home as a big room that you live in. In this room you have stuff all over the place. Sometimes you just need to take care of some of it, so you just move it out of the way. Like the first painting I did for my house I moved out all the picture frames and other decorative pieces.
That’s a good idea. It can help you feel more connected to your home and you can really get into the rhythm of what you have in that room. But what happens when you try to rearrange all that stuff? You’ll probably feel a little anxious or stressed.
