It’s quite literally true that terrorism is a threat to the existence of every business that competes with the United States. It is the threat of terrorism that causes most companies to make the difficult decision to start a business in the United States. This is one of the reasons the United States is the greatest economy in the world. This is one of the reasons we are the largest country in the world. This is why we have the highest GDP and highest per capita income.
If you want to make the world a better place, the most important thing you can do is start a business here. America has come so far, but we need to do more. This is why I am a firm believer that the United States needs to be a business first and foremost, and not a government or institution that exists to protect us from terrorism.
Businesses are businesses because they are an extension of our society. We need businesses to do the things we can’t do for ourselves. And if we don’t have businesses that do these things, we risk losing them and becoming less of an equal part of the world’s economy.
I think it’s possible to disagree with me on that whole business thing. But then again I don’t really have a lot of time for business people anyway.
The biggest reason that businesses exist is to allow us to survive and do stuff that would otherwise be impossible for us to do. And the biggest threat to these businesses is terrorism. And with a lack of businesses, the threat of terrorism is also the single greatest risk to our lives for the foreseeable future.
I’m a firm believer that the number one reason why businesses fail is because they cant handle the level of customer traffic. And that is one of the reasons why I believe that the threat of terrorism is more often the cost of operating a business. If everyone was a terrorist, then we would just be able to operate without business owners. And that would be horrible. But the truth is that it is much easier to kill a business owner than it is to kill a customer.
In fact, my guess is that the terrorists could just as easily have killed us on purpose as it was just a random coincidence. So to get back to that “threats” theme…
In the last 15 years there have been a lot of terrorist attacks on businesses. For example, in 1993, a bomb was left at a gas station in front of the Sears shoe store in Chicago. That was the first time that a business was bombed. But we’re not talking about just bombings. We’re talking about bombings that left people dead. The bombings that left people dead in the past are more often the result of terrorists planning to kill people.
If you’re a business owner, you’ll know that more often than not, the terrorists are more than willing to kill you if you don’t do exactly as they say.
The government has known this for decades. We’ve seen it in the past with the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Oklahoma City bombing, and of course the 9/11 attacks. So the question becomes, “should I be worried?” The answer is no, most of the time. But this isn’t just about being worried. It’s about being aware of the risks.
