I love the downtown business association meeting and I love the business people I have met at them. While they are not my favorite people, I am so glad to meet them. The variety of people they bring in are always a pleasure to see. I am so glad to see that their meetings are just as much about the people as the business.
The city business association meeting in Elizabethton, Tennessee is a nice place to start. It always makes me feel part of a group. The people are generally friendly and the meeting always makes me feel a little better about things (especially if I was at the meeting and did something I regret).
That’s the thing about business meetings, they are about the people. If I go to a good business meeting that is about the people, I am more likely to feel that the people are there to listen to me, rather than me feeling like they are there to talk to me.
