A few weeks ago she had a chance to speak with Debra, a woman who is currently working on her first book. She told Debra that all of her life’s goals in life, including her career, were only attainable if she thought she had good self-awareness.
Debra agreed, saying, “I know who I am, and I can’t help but be proud of that. And it’s not just my goal; it’s something that I do every day that I look back and say, ‘Wow, I really had a lot more self-awareness than I thought.
Debra’s advice to people who are struggling with confidence is to look at everything you do in life and say, “Wow, there’s something so awesome and inspirational about that.” It makes sense to me.
Debs advice to people who are still struggling with confidence, is to find ways in which they can get some self-awareness. When you are able to take a step back and say, Oh, I did that, I look back and say, Wow, that was the right thing to do.
Yeah, I should probably rephrase my “Wow, theres something so awesome and inspirational about that” bit to say, “So, I totally agree with Debras and Debs advice, but, I feel like I should say, Wow, theres something awesome and inspirational about that.
I think the key is to take a few minutes to look at yourself in the mirror and say, “Wow, I am actually a decent person.” This is something Debs and Debs says is important, but in the context of self-awareness.
