The china renaissance is a movement in the United States and China that began in the 1900’s and is now in its fourth decade. The movement consists of a blend of philosophies, art, and culture that promotes the appreciation of china, the influence it has on the Chinese community in the United States, and the importance of preserving and promoting Chinese culture and heritage.
The movement originated from the influence of the Chinese Exposition held in Chicago in 1900. There was a huge amount of interest from intellectuals, artists, Chinese businessmen, and the general public in the Chinese Exposition and the Chinese community in Chicago. This interest was at the time a new phenomenon in the United States with the rise of European immigration to the United States.
In the early 1900’s, there was a great deal of interest in Chinese culture and its history. There was a great deal of interest in the Chinese Exposition held in Chicago in 1900. I was very lucky to have a very long chat with a really interesting Chinese man who was originally planning to move to California, but ended up settling in Beijing because of the city’s proximity to his family home. His family spoke Mandarin, and he brought me along with him as a translator. We went through a lot of Chinese historical sites, and he took me through the history of the Ming Dynasty. I found it fascinating, and I would love to start studying Chinese History in the future.
I think it’s good to learn about other cultures and cultures, but I also think it’s important to also learn about the history and culture of your own country. It’s an important part of the process.
