Egan is also a passionate writer who has written dozens of books including the cookbook, “The Dining Room Table” (a book about cooking and food culture), “The Foodie Survival Guide” (a book about food), and “The Foodie Kitchen” (a guide to restaurants).
That’s right. He’s also an online food blogger who writes about the amazing world of food and cooking in depth. Egan is a member of the food blogging community FoodBureau.com, The Foodie Network, and The Huffington Post.
Egan is an all around cool dude who lives in an awesome house in the woods with his dog, his mom, and his sister. He currently lives in the country with his wife and two kids. He enjoys hiking, camping, and playing video games. Egan has a blog called The Foodie Librarian. His wife is a music teacher and their daughter is in college.
Egan’s blog is just a small piece of the larger food blog ecosystem I’ve been part of over the past few years. Just as the term “food blog” is thrown around lightly in most online discussions about food, the term “foodie blog” is tossed around lightly in most online discussions about food. As an aside, Egan is kind enough to let me write a guest post for his blog for The Huffington Post.
Its nice to come across a blog that has a genuine passion for food, something that can actually be a little intimidating if you are not part of the food blogging community, especially if you are in the industry. And that is why I would really like to know more about Egan’s blog and his family. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this look into the worlds of food and music.
I have to say that I am not a huge fan of Egan’s blog but I think it is interesting to read his musings on food and music. I don’t know if I would say he is a food blogger but I can definitely see why people might say that.
And that is exactly what makes me think of Richard Egans blog. He is a food blogger and a musician by trade. It is not hard to see why people would think of him as a food blogger. Food blogs are all about food because there is so much to discuss about food and cooking. And also the fact that Richard Egans blog is very musical. Not just food related but also music related.
