This quote always makes me laugh, it’s from a book called the self-awareness bible.
Harris’s book The Self-Awareness Bible is pretty awesome, but it is also very, very dark. It’s also the product of a man on a mission to convince his fellow sufferers of mental illness to take better care of themselves. It’s not for the faint of heart, but it is an eye-opener. I love it.
We need more people like Norman Harris. He’s a man on a mission, who, like I said, is a survivor. He’s able to get the crap kicked out of him that he deserves, and we need more like him.
He is a man on a mission who is trying to live a normal life. But he knows he can’t do that with the help of a drug. When he finds that out, he decides to take matters into his own hands and commit suicide to save his friend.
One of the most interesting ideas that comes up when we talk about self-awareness is that while we tend to be aware of who we are and what we value, we lack a sense of our own priorities, or at least what we want to have happen in life. If you could somehow change the way you think about yourself and your life, then it might be possible to change the way you react to a situation.
This is one of the most important questions I ask around this site. Do you even know what you want to happen in your life? Do you? You should. If you have to ask yourself, “why do I want this to happen?” then it’s probably not happening.
I would like to challenge you to take a minute out of your day and put a few things on paper. If you feel like it, take it a few times and come up with a list of what you think would be important to you. For example, if I had a list, I might see a list of things I want in my life. If it was a list of things I want in my life, then I would make a list at the end of the day.
The point is, when we think back on life, there are a number of things that we think about. For example, you think about what you want to do next. You think about what you want to be doing, and so on. If you make lists and put them somewhere away from your mind, where you don’t think about them, then they are less likely to be in your head.
