The only exception to this is the person who is asking, in essence, if your business is your personal business. I’m talking about the person at the end of that sentence. The person who is asking if you should be making money off something that is your job or your passion.
While we usually think of personal business as something that we should only do for the same reasons that we only do things for our own personal benefit, I would say that in fact, if people think that you’re doing something for your personal benefit, then you should probably be doing that. After all, it seems to me that the majority of people who are doing things for their own personal growth are doing it just for the sheer pleasure of doing it.
When it comes to personal pursuits, it’s important to find the balance between doing it for the sake of doing it as well as doing it for the sake of doing it. But if you’re doing it for your own personal growth, then you may be doing it for the sake of doing it as well as for the sake of doing it for the sake of doing it. If you’re doing it because you’re having fun doing it then you should do it for the sake of doing it.
We recently talked about how we think we have to be doing things because we enjoy doing them. But that is not always the case. When we have nothing else to do, we do things because we want to, because we are compelled to, because we have been taught by our parents, or because we have been told to do so. In general, we need to keep our personal pursuits in check to prevent our personal growth from becoming a one-sided pursuit.
One of the most common personal growth-related questions I get is about the difference between self-awareness and self-care. The difference is that self-care is something we do to stay healthy, while self-awareness is something we do to stay centered in time and space. That said, I think it makes a lot of sense to say that self-awareness has to come first, while self-care is just a way to stay centered.
Some people are in touch with their body in a more self-aware way than others. For instance, I’m lucky to have a high tolerance for alcohol, so I tend to avoid overdoing it on a regular basis. Likewise, I tend to have a high tolerance for caffeine, so I can’t drink a lot.
At this point I’m so sick of hearing people say, “I’m in touch with my body.” I’m in touch with my body when I’m feeling well. When I’m really feeling bad, I’ll be in touch with my body, but that just comes naturally to me.
The truth is that it seems the more self-aware I am, the more I am affected by my body and mind. This is probably because the more I can do to control my environment and my mood, the better my body and mind will respond. So if I feel well I might be feeling more relaxed, more energetic. If I’m feeling under the weather, I might have a headache. If I’m worried about something, I might be worried.
I want to say that this is probably a good thing, but that sounds really judgmental. I was raised to be the kind of person who knows exactly what to do and when to do it. And that’s obviously a very good thing. When my body and mind are in balance, I have balance. When I’m at a place where I’m not feeling good, I’m not in a place where I’m feeling bad.
The problem is that people with a healthy mind/body balance tend to be very careful with what they put around them. If something is in your way, you tend to back away. If something is in your way, you tend to take an interest. This is not a good thing, but it’s a good thing.
