This is a topic that is very close to my heart because I have been a long-time fan of Van Heusen for over 30 years. The fact is that the company has been on a slow decline for quite a while now. The reason this has been going on for so long is because the company has been focusing on its core products. Their new line of products has been focused on food and drink.
The problem is that the new products are not actually Van Heusen’s core products. All of the new products are just Van Heusen’s version of their other products. And that’s not a good thing. Instead of focusing on those products they should be focusing on their core competency.
The core competency of Van Heusen, from the brand’s perspective, is that they’re the only company who makes food and drink. Since the new products are basically just a Van Heusen version of the same products, the company has decided that its core competency has been broken. Which is why they’re trying to find a new core competency to keep going.
Of course, the sad truth is that some of the products they make are actually pretty good. But most of the products they make are just plain horrible, and if that’s your core competency, then you should probably stop doing it.
The company is a victim of its own success. It has become so big that the sales staff has no idea what is going on, and theyre a bunch of guys who have just become arrogant. The people who make the actual food and drink are the smartest people in the world, and you know what? Theyre right. Its their core competency.
Well, I guess it’s good that someone is taking their company in a more positive direction. But I can’t help thinking that that core competency is being taken away from them (and it is).
I think the biggest reason for why the company is going out of business is because they have a huge staff that is not as smart as the people in charge of making the actual food and drinks. Theyre a bunch of idiots who are out of control and need to be told what to do to keep their noses in the air.
At core competency. I really am sick of hearing “core competency” and I think part of the problem is that we’re talking about something that doesn’t exist in reality.
I guess it comes down to this: there are a lot of people in the food and drink industry that are just as smart as the people making the actual foods and drinks. They just do it in their own way, and do it cheaper. If you think about it, the stuff they make is so much better than the stuff you buy from Walmart, you would think they would make it themselves. Well, it’s not exactly like that.
The concept of “competency” was introduced in the 1980s with the creation of a computer program that, given a series of instructions, could produce a different effect on a given computer. The program was called a Turing test, and it was designed to measure which of two computers was more or less intelligent.
