Welcome to the blog of my sister, erik jonsson. erik jonsson’s blog is a place for me to explore thoughts, ideas, and stories that I have long been curious about. I hope you enjoy your visit and I hope you’ll subscribe to her blog.
erik jonsson is one of the biggest and most intelligent individuals I know. In my opinion, she is one of the most insightful and well-read individuals alive. She has a great sense of humor, a wicked sense of humor, and a very dry sense of humor. When I get riled up about something, she does not hold back. She’s a very interesting person to sit and talk with.
I don’t have a personal connection with Erik, but she has a great sense of humor. She is one of the top comedians working today, so I’m sure you’ll be surprised to learn that she is also an accomplished programmer. I suspect she has a very interesting life and a lot to explore. I really enjoy her blog.
Erik Jonsson (AKA ‘Jerk’ for short) is a Swedish programmer and author of the blog The Geektastic Blog ( and the recently released The Geektastic Book ( I first met Jonsson at the 2011 Geekfest in Stockholm, and he’s been a regular of mine for the past couple of years.
Jonsson is one of those comedians who does a great job of making everyone laugh with her humor, and she doesn’t sugarcoat things. In fact, she is very open-minded about the fact that what she does isn’t always the easiest thing to do. She actually says “the hardest part of making a living as a programmer is putting up with bullshit”, and I think that statement is true to some degree.
Jonsson is the type of person that is usually very honest about her opinions, and she has the courage to do so. She also has the self-awareness and the maturity to do so, and that’s rare these days. She is, quite frankly, the smartest person I know. She is one of the best programmers I know and an excellent musician.
I have to admit that I was a bit suspicious of this statement since she said it on Twitter and it is a bit out of the blue. I think she probably meant to say that it would take some time to get used to the idea that you are not just one person, you need to learn to communicate with a bunch of other people working remotely.
I don’t think my wife nor I are the ones who are “brainless,” but it seems like we are a bit of a mismatch. I think I have the maturity level and maturity of, well, you know, a mature person. I’m also pretty good at playing video games and I do like to read, so I guess that’s a good thing.
The problem with the concept of a time-looping game is that it implies the existence of a single player who is always, and only, on the clock. You can’t be the person who is always trying to kill everybody else in the game, because that would be impossible. A time-looping game is also impossible because there is no single player to talk to.
This is a problem when you think about a video game as a medium. Sure, you can play a game using a computer, but for the vast majority of gamers that is a very, very bad idea. It’s also a very bad idea when you think about it as a medium. In a video game you can watch the story unfold on the screen, but in real life it’s impossible to do that.
