The only software that really needs to be paid for in a world like this is software that helps us do what we should be doing. It’s time for a change and people need to step up and start changing the way we use software to make it cheaper. In the words of the late Steve Jobs, “We want everyone to use software because it’s the best.
You can probably guess what I mean. We have to get the software that people actually use, because the world is just too damned big to make it more complicated than it already is. So we need software that makes it simpler to buy all the things we need to make our lives easier, and that makes it simpler to use.
That’s exactly what we’re trying to do with source software. We want to make it easier to buy and easier to use what we already use. We want to make it easier to get our favorite apps, to get our favorite games, and to just buy stuff that we don’t need. The reason I bring this up is that the rise of piracy has made it even harder for people to buy software now, and it’s the same thing with source software.
