The Georgia Tech MBA ranking is based on several metrics including the degree you received from a top-tier school and the number of industry awards you have received. Although these measures are used to help predict your future success, they are not intended to predict your future.
We should all be worried about Georgia Tech’s new “MBA ranking.” This ranking uses various metrics to predict our future success, none of which have anything to do with our past. For example, the number of engineering degrees earned is used to predict what we are likely to do in the future, but these degrees may not have anything to do with our present.
In order to be able to predict the future, we need to be able to predict the past. In the case of Georgia Tech, these future metrics are being used to predict the future success of their new MBA program. The degree program is supposed to be an innovative and cutting-edge program, and we should be concerned about Georgia Techs’ new ranking.
The top 10 percent of engineering majors are the ones who are likely to be the most engaged in the future. The 10 percent of engineering majors are also the ones who will be the most likely to be in a leadership position in the future. This ranking is based on a study of the top 10 percent of engineering majors among all Georgia Tech engineering majors who graduated in 1998.
The problem with the Georgia Tech ranking is that it isn’t based on a study of all Georgia Tech engineering majors. The ranking is based on the top 10 percent of engineering majors in Georgia Tech in 1998. While that sounds fine, the problem is that those top 10 percent engineering majors who graduated in 1998 are no longer in a leadership position in Georgia Tech today. This ranking is based on a study of the top 10 percent engineering majors in Georgia Tech in 1998.
Georgia Tech, because its a state school, has no obligation to admit Georgia Tech engineering majors who graduated in 1998. It’s a problem because those top 10 percent engineering majors who graduated in 1998 are no longer in a leadership position in Georgia Tech today. It’s a problem because those top 10 percent engineering majors who graduated in 1998 are no longer in a leadership position in Georgia Tech today.
I know there are a lot of people who feel that we should still admit those 10 percent engineering majors who graduated in 1998 because that would be the best ranking they would have gotten.
The problem is that there are so many people who graduated in 1998 that now the top 10 percent engineering majors are a far cry from the top 10 percent of Georgia Tech’s best engineering majors. Today, only a handful of engineering majors are able to find jobs at Georgia Tech.
According to the latest College Board data, only 3,000 of the top 10 percent of engineering majors graduated in 1998. The rest graduated in 2011, with most of the 2010 batch dropping to 1,000. So, for those who believe that Georgia Tech’s engineering majors are a tad below the top 10 percent of Georgia Techs best engineering majors, the stats are actually quite the opposite.
After graduating from Georgia Tech, a lot of them take jobs as software engineers for small businesses, such as software developers at Citi, which is part of the Financial Services Department. The other big part of the state’s economy is the medical industry, so it’s not surprising that engineering majors are in demand as doctors.
