I’ve been in the business of making people feel more connected to the internet for a long time. I’ve been on the internet for a long time. I’ve been on this website, too. I’ve been on this YouTube channel, and I’ve been on this forum. And it’s taken me to many places I never thought I would get to.
I think this goes back to the first point: our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
The problem is after a while, our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions may as well be on autopilot. You don’t have to think about them at all. You just do them. Just like you don’t have to think about washing your car or going through the motions of eating a healthy meal. They just happen.
Diana Barrett is a game designer and illustrator who, like most of the designers in this blog, lives in an apartment across the hall from her husband. In her own words, she’s “a minimalist by nature who likes to go about her life with a minimalistic attitude.
Diana is also a mom with a child who is almost two years old. She works from home, but also makes a living making things for other people. She loves what she does because she feels it connects her to the people she makes things for.
What I love about Diana’s work is that it’s simple. It’s beautiful. It’s done well. She doesn’t have a ton of resources and her art is simple, so it’s very easy to take it apart and reassemble if you’re in a rush. She has some fantastic pieces on her blog right here. Check it out.
Dianas blog is filled with some very thoughtful pieces of art. I especially love her pieces of food. If youre like me, you will find a lot of food that I love. And every time I eat, I find myself looking at her pictures of beautiful food.
Dianas blog has a bunch of great posts on how to make your own art. And there are tons of tutorials on how to use paint brushes. It’s also worth checking out her Instagram to see some of her pieces.
I hope she continues to post more of her art. Its always fun to see new things and learn more about a few artists. I am very enamored of her art and would love to get a chance to see more of her work.
Diana’s also a self professed foodie. So she’s on board with the whole food and art thing. I think she is a bit more of a “taster” for the food and art blog.
