The word “key” has a lot of different meanings. In this case, it is the part of the keyboard that allows you to access your computer without having to type. In my job as a business consultant and trainer, it’s my job to help those that need help and support with their business. To help my clients achieve their goals, I always ask them about the key they use most often to access their computer.
So in this case, that means using the ALT key to select the “start” menu. The “ALT+F5” shortcut is one of my favorite ways to open the start menu. That’s because the default shortcut for that menu item is “F5”. This is how you do it.
In addition to using the ALT key to select the start menu, you can also type a command to get a specific shortcut to the menu. So say you want to open Google Maps. To open it, type “gmaps”. To open it by double tapping the map button, type “maps”. This shortcut is also known as a business key because it is the shortcut that your computer uses to open a website.
Business keys are used by many businesses to give them access to their websites. For instance, a bank or department store might want to have a single keyboard shortcut that opens their website, which is why they type a single business key F5, for example.
There are a few reasons why we can type a single business key by accident. First, typing a business key by accident is really easy, because we’re in the habit of doing it. This is why we also type our passwords at home, in order to avoid typing them so much. Second, business keys are sometimes called a “command key.” The last thing we need is to type a command key by accident.
Business keys are a shortcut that opens your website. You type F5 to get to the default page with your business keys, which of course, is their website. And that’s it.
As it turns out, you type your business key accidentally. The problem: you didn’t know it was a shortcut. So instead of typing F5, you type the command key F3, which opens your default page. You have to remember it, and remember it well.
I think it is pretty rare that an accident results in a command key, but it happens, because there are two types of business keys: command and shortcut. The command keys simply open the default page, while the shortcuts (F3, F4, F5, etc.) open certain pages with special codes. So if you type F4 to open your business page, you can type F4 to open the home page, or F4 to open a certain page with your business keys.
If you use your business keys in the right order, it will open the default page, and then save you a trip to the main menu. I have found that if I am in the office and I type in my shortcut key, I can get home by typing in the command key. It’s not that complicated.
That said, if you know a shortcut key for that specific page, it’s always handy to know which one.
