This is a very dangerous combination. You can’t be cool when you don’t care about acting cool, and you can’t be cool when you’re not cool. In fact, being cool (or “cooler”) is a very negative trait that leads people to not even think about being cool.
One of the most common things that people say when people say they have trouble acting cool is, “I don’t want to act cool,” or “I don’t want to act like a hip college person,” or “I’m not a cool person.” This is a very common and dangerous mistake. When we act cool, we are acting on autopilot. That means that even when we try to act and dress more cool than we really are, we won’t be acting on autopilot.
That is why we need to get out of this cycle of acting cool, and start acting like cool cool cool. One of the most effective ways to do this is to identify what you want to be cool about, and try to act like that.

He had an image of himself that he liked to think of as being a cool person. We asked him what made him that way, and he said that his mother would say, “He was always so nice to everyone.
