I had a client once that decided to build a storage unit for her company. She and her team were looking for a way to keep all her business records and information in one place for easy access. They found a warehouse space and were able to do so without having to move all their items. The space was huge, and after looking at it for a while, they found it a bit messy, so they decided to turn it into a storage unit.
This may sound like a cheap way to make a storage unit, but after trying to find a bigger space and finding a few places that were just full of boxes and boxes of boxes of boxes, they ended up buying the warehouse space. Then they found that they didn’t need to move all their items.
Like many other companies, Amazon has had to deal with issues with their warehouses. The warehouse space they leased was too small for Amazon to store all the boxes and boxes of boxes that they needed to store. Because they had to rent space, they decided to turn the space into a storage unit. As far as I’m concerned, this is a cheap way to make a storage unit, and I’m sure Amazon will use this space to store their inventory and eventually move them to a bigger space.
To make a long story short, this is a good thing. Amazon has been moving boxes to the warehouse faster but it’s not the same as actually storing them. Amazon uses the warehouse space to store its inventory, so they can’t rent it, but they can still store inventory there. This is good because it means that Amazon is not having to store boxes for a long time.
Not only is Amazon using the warehouse space for inventory storage, but they are also storing boxes there for a longer time. This is good, as most boxes get broken into smaller ones, and the longer it sits, the more it gets broken into and the more it can hold.

You could also consider this a business records exception, and ask Amazon for a court order to inspect the warehouse. I wouldn’t be surprised if Amazon is actually getting paid by the warehouse for storing inventory, and would be happy to pay you for some of your inventory.
There is an argument that the law allows this. It does, but there are limits. If it becomes a precedent, it could be difficult to argue that Amazon is not in contempt of court.
