I love this post because it shows that we can actually learn to live with ourselves. Although this post is just about making friends with ourselves, it has some profound meaning when it comes to our mental health. We can be so afraid to talk to ourselves, and we can even get so defensive that we stop ourselves from speaking up for ourselves. If we want to change something and we don’t know how to do it, we can easily learn how to do it.
A friend of mine just asked me if I would be open to performing lacey wildd surgery on her when she gets older. I used to be a guy and I thought I needed to be like a man to be able to do all the things I wanted to do. But now I realize that I never needed to be like a man and never needed to be strong. And it was the other way around for me. I wanted to be like a man to accomplish all the things I wanted to do, but I never needed to be strong. That’s why I was never a man.
