I was lucky enough to chat with jim mullen for a little while last night while he was out in LA. He’s a very talented graphic designer with a passion for photography and a great sense of humor. I asked jim mullen what the most important thing is in the life of an artist and the answer was pretty simple. One of the most important things is to have a great sense of humor. We all have that, and a sense of humor is a fantastic way to keep the creative juices flowing.
The main thing to know about jim mullen is that he loves his daughter. He’s a very good father too and I think that’s probably what made him a good choice at the helm of Arkane Studios.

This is one of those things that I really want to know about so I can include it in my list of things I wish I could think of. Why? Because that’s a really good question. Let me tell you that I know a lot about comedy and I think that I have a great sense of humor. Jokes are funny because they are so absurd. Laughing at something that is absurd is the ultimate form of humor.
The thing is that we are so used to being told the things we actually believe. Every time someone says, “You are the smartest person I ever met,” I can’t help but laugh. I am just that smart, I cannot believe anyone would ever say that; yet people would still say that.
The way I’ve heard it is that people say this to try to confuse their friend, to try to make him/her think that they are smart, or to try to make him/her believe that they are a genius. It’s usually said to try to make the person believe that they have a brain, in a good way.
It’s a variation of the “I am so smart” joke. People usually say, “You are the smartest person I ever met”, which is a compliment, but since most people don’t believe it, it’s usually just a compliment. People are also sometimes said to be smarter when they don’t have the skills to actually prove it. They are always more intelligent than the person they’re complimenting.
